At Myopia Focus, we're advocates of myopia management and try and raise awareness and give parents the information they need to make informed decisions. One of the most common questions we hear from parents is a simple but important one:

"How much does myopia management actually cost?"

It’s a fair question—and one that, surprisingly, doesn’t yet have a clear, consistent answer. That’s why we’ve collaborated with Myopia Focus Advisory Committee members, Dr. Neema Ghorbani Mojarrad and Dr. Sophie Coverdale from the University of Bradford school of Optometry and Vision Science to launch a survery to gather real-world data from optometrists across the UK and Ireland on the costs of providing myopia management treatments.

What the Survey Aims to Do

This survey will help:

• Parents get a clearer, more transparent view of what treatments typically cost

• Optometrists understand how their pricing compares nationally and the commercial structure

• Policy advocates and stakeholders make better-informed decisions on potential NHS involvement in the future

We'll be compiling the results into a report that we hope will serve as a useful guide for both professionals and the families they support.
