As awareness of myopia as a growing public health issue increases, so too does the need for evidence-based approaches to its management. With rates of myopia in children rising significantly in recent decades, early intervention has never been more vital. We're reaching out to UK-based optometrists to encourage them to take part in an exciting new opportunity that could shape the future of myopia care being conducted by Annegret Dahlmann-Noor, Consultant in Paediatric Ophthalmology at NIHR Moorfields Biomedical Research Centre, one of the leading authorities on childhood eye health in the UK.
Help Shape the Future of Myopia Management
Annegret and her team, are developing a new clinical trial which will focus on the real-world use of myopia control treatments in everyday optometric practice. The study will explore the effectiveness of various interventions—such as peripheral-plus spectacle lenses and dual-focus contact lenses—and how these can be implemented in high-street settings.
Before the trial begins, the team would like to understand how myopia is currently being managed across UK practices. Your input will help design a study that reflects the realities of clinical practice and ensures that findings are relevant and applicable across the sector.
We Need Your Insights
The team are currently gathering information on:
