If you’ve been following along with our blog posts this week — thank you.If you’ve taken even one small action — booked an eye test, learned something new, had a chat with your child — then you’ve already made a difference.

What can you do today?
Today’s action is simple, but powerful:Talk to someone. Share what you’ve learned. Start a conversation about children’s vision — with another parent, a teacher, a family member, your WhatsApp group, your social feed. Because awareness only really works when it’s shared.
Here are a few ways to do it:
📱 Talk about Myopia Focus to someone you meet
🗣️ Tell another parent how your child’s eye test went
👀 Mention screen time and eye health to your child’s teacher or head
📸 Post a photo of your kids playing outside using #MyopiaAwarenessWeek2025
🧠 Forward the petition or a fact that surprised you
We’re Not Alone in This
One of the most inspiring parts of this week has been seeing just how many people and organisations are raising their voices too.
The Brien Holden Vision Institute shared toolkits and global content for clinicians and schools
Modern Vision Solutions and EyeSite in the UK ran their own local awareness events
Optometrists across the country hosted webinars, Q&As and open days
Internationally, we saw everything from classroom activities to social media campaigns
And it’s been especially great to see more parents getting involved — sharing stories, asking questions, and spreading the word in their own communities.
We’re Proud to Be Part of It
At Myopia Focus, our mission is simple:To translate all this incredible knowledge into something parents can actually use.To turn science into support. Concern into action.
And this week, it’s felt like we’re not alone in that. It’s felt like things are finally moving.
So, What’s Next?
Myopia Awareness Week 2025 might be wrapping up — but the work doesn’t stop here. We’ll continue sharing content, supporting campaigns, and listening to the real experiences of families navigating this space.
If you’ve learned something this week, don’t keep it to yourself. Talk about it. Post about it. Send a link to one person. That’s how this grows.
Thanks for being part of it.
